I love my Green Smoothies, and will often make them in a number of different ways. There is so much benefit one can derive from blending select vegetables with fruit, or oats, etc. I love a green smoothie after an intense workout or a a meal replacement.
Here are the particulars:
Prep Time: less than 10 minutes
- I had a package of mixed greens (baby spinach, mesclun, arugula, romaine and red leaf lettuce)
- 1/2 a cup of frozen tropical fruit (papaya, pineapple, mango, strawberries)
- 2 cups filtered water
- Optional – I add about 2 teaspoons of Spirulina
- Wash your greens, add all of the fruit & greens to a blender or food processor, ice is optional. Blend until smooth.
